Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated European Automotive Technician with vast mechanical experience to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of European vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise in automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our valued customers.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify issues accurately across various European vehicle brands.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on powertrain systems, transmissions, and other mechanical components with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service equipment to execute repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Service and calibrate ADAS features such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and collision avoidance systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Perform wheel alignments, suspension inspections, and vehicle maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and vehicle performance.
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for complex electrical systems within European vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly, estimating costs accurately, and ensuring a positive experience for every client.
Experience
- 3 years proven dealership experience working as an automotive technician specializing in European vehicles is required.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair is essential.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, vehicle diagnostics software, schematics interpretation, and auto estimating tools preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system inspections.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by familiarity with BMW vehicles or similar European makes is highly desirable.
- Service technician experience involving automotive electrical troubleshooting and repair is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary to succeed in this fast-paced environment.
